7/28/13-9/8/13: Series – Are The Gifts Of The Spirit Important?

170x250-product-thumbnail-are-giftsThere are two major camps in the body of Christ today. People that believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and people that believe the gifts and baptism of the Holy Spirit passed away with the Apostles.  We will see from scripture that Jesus operated in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to validate His ministry.

"Are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit Important Today?" In part one of this series, you'll learn Gods’ plan is for you to share the good news of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will validate what you said with signs and wonders following.

"The Gifts of the Holy Spirit" In part two of this series, Mike explores how the Bible encourages us to pursue, or follow the love of the Holy Spirit. This agape love is God Himself. When you sense the love flow out of us – which is God – every aspect of God is flowing out of us. His love, healing, wisdom and knowledge are available for us to minister to others. This brings people to God and builds up the body of Christ.

"The Baptism of the Holy Spirit" The main objective of part three in this series is to give people an understanding of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In Mark 16:17, Jesus stated that every believer will speak in new tongues. In Acts 1:4 Jesus clearly stated that John baptized with water but there is also a baptism of the Holy Spirit. There are clearly two baptisms in scripture.

"Praying in the Spirit: A Gift from God" In this message we explore that one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is praying in tongues, also called praying in the spirit. In John 7:37 Jesus prophesied that when the Spirit is given, rivers of living water would flow out of our belly. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. How we release the rivers of water is by praying in the spirit.

"Praying in the Spirit, Pt. 2" In this message we continue to explore how praying in the sprit releases the power of God and activates the other eight gifts of the spirit. As we put more emphasis on praying in the spirit, we will function like the New Testament church, full of God’s power and declaring the wonderful works of Jesus.

"Praying in the Spirit, Pt. 3" In this message we continue to explore what the New Testament church called “the prayer.” God’s desire for us is to pray in the spirit throughout the day so we can enjoy the rest, power, abundance, strength, peace and wisdom of the "Holy Spirit."

"Confidently Praying In The Spirit" - 1 John 5:14-15 tells us, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” The goal of this lesson is to clear up some questions about praying in the spirit so we can have confidence in our prayers.
